Newborn Sneak Peek | Welcoming the Sweetest New Arrival at Home

There is something incredibly special about being invited back into a family's story.

A little while ago, I had the privilege of photographing this wonderful mum during her boudoir experience. Later came her maternity session, celebrating the anticipation of meeting her little one. And this time, I was welcomed into their beautiful home in Southsea to capture the newest chapter of all.

There's something wonderfully relaxed about photographing a newborn at home. For many families, home is where the memories begin, making it the perfect place to capture those precious first days together. There are no unfamiliar surroundings or rushed timelines. Just the comfort of your own space, tiny baby cuddles and those quiet moments that make the early days of parenthood so unforgettable.

As always, my approach is completely baby-led. There is plenty of time for feeds, cuddles and comforting whenever needed, allowing the session to unfold naturally without any pressure. Some of my favourite photographs from this session weren't carefully posed at all. They were the little in-between moments. The sleepy stretches. The quiet smiles that seem to say, "We can't quite believe you're finally here."

Photographing a family through so many different seasons of life is one of the greatest privileges of my job.

From celebrating confidence...To documenting the excitement of pregnancy... To finally meeting the little person you've spent months dreaming about.

It has been such an honour to witness this family's journey, and I feel incredibly grateful that they chose me to capture each chapter along the way.
