What Happens During a Boudoir Photoshoot?
For many of you considering boudoir photography, the biggest uncertainty isn’t whether you want the experience — it’s simply not knowing what will happen.

These are the questions I know every woman finds herself asking. And I know Understanding how the experience unfolds often helps women feel much more relaxed about taking that first step.
Arriving at the Space
Boudoir sessions begin in a beautiful private home, that is hired for your session, filled with natural light. The environment is calm and welcoming, designed to feel very different from a traditional studio.
Many of my clients arrive feeling slightly nervous, which is completely normal. But the relaxed setting usually helps those nerves soften quickly. You’ll be offered a cup of tea to allow you to soften into the moment.
Hair and Makeup
Your experience begins with professional hair and makeup by one of my expert artists. This time allows you to settle into the space slowly, chat, and begin to feel comfortable before the camera even appears. My clients always say this part of the day feels surprisingly relaxing.
It becomes a moment to pause and enjoy the experience.
Choosing Your Outfits
When you book your experience with me I will send you a preparation guide which will help with your wardrobe planning, I’m also always happy to give any further help and advice. Usually you’ll arrive with around three outfits that you LOVE.
Beautiful options often include:
• lace lingerie
• robes
• bridal veils
• elegant bodysuits
• oversized shirts
• or simply natural, minimal styling.
Comfort is always more important than perfection.
The Photography Session
When your session begins, every movement is gently guided. You never need to know how to pose. Small adjustments to posture and movement create elegant, natural images while still allowing the experience to feel relaxed.
Nothing is rushed. Everything unfolds slowly.
Revealing Your Images
One of the most emotional parts of the experience happens during the viewing. Seeing yourself through a different perspective can be surprisingly powerful. My clients tend to say they see a version of themselves they hadn’t fully recognised before.
That moment can feel deeply affirming.
A Calm Natural-Light Experience
Sessions are designed to feel supportive, calm and completely personal. The beautiful natural-light setting allows every woman to relax into the experience and enjoy the process without pressure.
