If you are reading this chances are you are recently engaged or within the madness of wedding planning and so, congratulations! This is such a s special time for you and I hope so far it has been bliss!
However I know first hand wedding planning can be a tad stressful, so I am here to help make one element a breeze. Bridal Boudoir photography is the perfect answer to ” what can I get him as a gift” and is the most amazing experience for you. So whether you’ve been think about Boudoir for a while or are completely new to the idea, this post aims to give you all the information you need. So sit back, relax and enjoy!
When should I book my session?
You should allow 12 weeks from when you have you Boudoir session to when you will received your finished product. So I always recommend booking you session around four months before the big day.
Weekends are popular and get booked up quickly so if you can do a week day I can be a bit more flexible for you. This is also a great excuse to make the most of your Hair and Make Up, have a night on the town and take a long weekend!
On that note, if you have decided to have professional hair and Make -Up these too get booked up quickly ( more on them later ) so in a nutshell, book the sooner the better!
What Should I bring with me on the day?
As much as you can! When you book you will received a info pack full of inspiration and a list of my recommended places to shop, I know this particularly can be a bit of a nightmare, but I have spent a lot of time researching the best places, some of which are relatively unknown. Of course bring along whatever you have in the wardrobe too!
Also bring along anything you have at this point that falls under the “bridal” category – Lingerie, shoes, your veil ( if you don have your veil yet I can loan one to you ) Veils add something really special to your images so are defiantly worth including in your session.
Do you offer professional Hair and Make-Up?
Yes I do! I have two very special artists that work along side me and who I trust implicitly with my clients. They will be on hand to meet your every need and help you feel like a rock star!
These two are also huge in the wedding industry and so yo many want to consider them for your wedding day. In this case you could tie in your trial with your Boudoir session. Take a look at their websites to find out more!
What can I expect from the session?
All my Boudoir sessions take place in a beautiful private venue nestled in the heart of the New Forest, its the perfect spot for you to relax and really enjoy your experience. This venue is hired for your session and solely ours for the day, so you won’t have the worry of people coming and going.
All sessions are individual and tailored to each client, we would have had many discussions leading up to your session about what you hope to gain form your experience. On the day we would have had a cuppa on your arrival and a chat before we start to calm your nerves, however please don’t worry, all my clients are slightly nervous at first but they all quickly realise there is nothing to worry about! I do not expect you do to be a trained model. It is my job to pose you in away to flatter your curves and create the most beautiful images you and your hubby to be will treasure forever!
Your session will last around two hours, however I don’t set any real time limit, it takes a long as it needs to. You are more than welcome to bring along a female companion with you if you think it would help you feel more comfortable, just notify me in advance if this is what you would like to do.
After your session we will arrange a date for you to come back to view your images. They will be a selection of around 80 images, all edited and looking their very best.
Do you share all images on social media?
No! All the images you see are of clients – however they have all been kind enough to allow me permission to use their images on selected platforms and share them with you all. There is absolutely NO pressure for you to allow me to do this. If you prefer they can remain completely private.
How should I present my images to my fiancee on the wedding day?
The possibilities are endless! When you come to view your images we will work through this together. Discussing what your initial thoughts are, I will then give advise if requested on how to create the perfect gift. All products are bespoke from albums to frames, we will go through the design process together and make sure everything is perfect before it goes to print.
Digital files are also available and these have a shorter lead time. Whatever you choose, rest assured it will be the most amazing gift for significant other on your special day.
