Years as a makeup artist? – Officially, I have been a hair stylist and makeup artist for 3 years, but I have always been a makeup artist, I just did it in the background or combined it with my job in events and fashion. Any event with performers, models or celebrities needing makeup and I was there, everytime a friend got married I was the wedding MUA. It’s so lovely to finally do something I love as my official job!
What 3 items do you always have in your handbag? – it would be lip gloss, mirror and face powder!
What are your 3 best everyday products? –Heliocare 3600 to even skin tone and provide SPF50 for UVA and UVB rays, Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish ‘Skin Perfecting Powder’ in Fair and YSL ‘False Effect Waterproof Mascara’ in black.
How would the person closest to you describe you? – Loyal, fun, creative, determined and trustworthy.
Where’s your favourite place on earth? –New York (Manhattan), it’s just like the movies! Everything is fabulous.
What’s top of your bucket list? –To travel around Canada, it’s the one country that I have always wanted to go and never visited.
What’s your secret guilty pleasure? –Watching the Real Housewives of New York City (don’t judge!).
What do you love most about your job? –Making people look and feel their best, it’s amazing the difference hair and makeup can make to someone’s demeanour and confidence.
Where do you look for inspiration? –
Like most people I look at Instagram and Pinterest which are both brilliant for getting ideas. I also like to follow talented makeup artists including Lans Nguyen-Grealis, The Alex Box and Pat McGrath. I take inspiration from Fashion, Culture and Art such as amazing jewellery, canvas prints or city skylines.
Last book you read? –Wilde Like Me by Louise Pentland (It’s about a Makeup artist juggling motherhood so very relatable!)
Last show you binge watched? –The Staircase on Netflix
What in your career, are you most proud of to date? –Winning Best Newcomer at the Dorset Wedding Awards and being published in Bride Magazine
