A Beautiful New Chapter | Hampshire Maternity Photography

There are some clients whose journeys you have the privilege of photographing through different seasons of life, and this recent maternity session was one of those moments.

A little while ago, I photographed Rachel for her boudoir session. Watching her return in such a different chapter of her life, now preparing to meet her baby, felt incredibly special.

One of the things I love most about maternity photography is that it allows women to pause for a moment during a season that can pass by so quickly.

Pregnancy often brings excitement, anticipation and change all at once. Between appointments, preparations and counting down the days until meeting your baby, it can be easy to forget to stop and appreciate this fleeting chapter.

This session felt exactly that, calm, thoughtful and unhurried.

With beautiful hair and makeup by the wonderful Lucy Bernier, the morning began slowly before we moved into creating a collection of elegant maternity portraits that celebrated both this remarkable season and the woman at the heart of it. There was something particularly meaningful about seeing her in front of my camera again.

Not because everything had changed, but because so much of what made her previous boudoir session special remained exactly the same.
